The Disney Destiny is Disney’s newest cruise ship and has a lot of things we are excited about. It was hard to narrow it down, but we did our best to keep it to the top 10!
Do you agree?
1. The Theme.
The Disney Destiny is the first Disney ship to have a full, unified theme – Heroes and Villains. You find this all around the ship from the stateroom decor to dining, character encounters and more. No matter which side you are on, there is a lot to capture your attention!

2. The Ship’s Horn
This one may sound strange for anyone who hasn’t experienced a Disney Cruise. But for those that have, you know how special the ship’s horns are. Disney Cruise Ships are known for their unique melodies and the Disney Destiny melodies will include “Go the Distance”, “Cruella De Vil”, and “Hakuna Matata” as nods to experiences onboard.
3. Villainous Encounters

This may be one of our top favorites! Villian encounters anywhere at Disney have always been a lot of fun. On the Disney Destiny, Loki, Maleficent, Cruella De Vil and Dr. Facilier will all have unique guest experiences onboard.
Loki is featured in two Grand Hall experiences: “Legend of Loki” and “Celebration of a King” and it will come as no surprise that he wants the attention all on him. Maleficent transforms the entertainment lounge into whatever she fancies and shows off her powers. Cruella De Vil visits her own lounge to rework the lyrics to her famous song and host the Wretched Runway: A Cruella Fashion Show.” Not to be outdone, be on the lookout for Dr. Facilier in his makeshift card parlor on the upper decks of the Grand Hall.

4. Pride Lands: Feast of the Lion King
This new dining experience is part of the rotational dining onboard. (This is a unique dining offering on all Disney Cruise Ships where guests rotate restaurants each night for a different experience). Along with African inspired food, performers, and favorite music, even the lighting of the restaurant will transform from sunrise to sunset throughout the course of the meal.
You can read more about all the dining option on the Disney Destiny here.
5. The Hydra in “Disney Hercules”

“Disney Hercules” is a new stage show just for the Disney Destiny. It stays true to the story of Disney’s movie but updates it with a new retelling from everyone’s favorite muses. Just like “Disney The Tale of Moana” on the Disney Wish this stage show will feature larger than life puppetry and beautiful costumes and effects. “Frozen, A Musical Spectacular” and “Disney Seas the Adventure” will also be featured onboard.
6. New lounge and cafe spaces that immerse you in the Heroes and Villains Theme.

Cask and Cannon is a Pirate themed lounge with decor and drinks fit for the high seas. The Sanctum lounge is inspired by Dr. Strange and will feature table side beverage experiences that will dazzle guests of all ages. De Vil’s Piano Lounge is an exclusive space for adults in Cruella’s signature style of black, white, and red.

Megara (Disney Hercules) and Merida (Disney Pixar Brave) each get their own cafes serving coffee, tea, specialty beverages and snacks.
7. Marvel elements built into the ship.

For the first time, Marvel Characters will decorate the stern (Spider-Man and spider-bots) and be the statue in the Grand Hall (Black Panther). Worlds of Marvel brings the Guardians of the Galaxy heroes right to your table in this rotational dining restaurant.
8. The New Mickey Villians cartoon on the AquaMouse ride.
Like its sister ships the Disney Wish and Disney Treasure, the Disney Destiny will feature an AquaMouse water ride (a plussed up water slide). To go along with the ship’s theme, this AquaMouse will have a new Mickey Villians cartoon.
9. “With Great Power: A Marvel Comedy Show”.
This sketch comedy show is made exclusively for adults and invites guests on an interactive journey through some of the most iconic moments of the Marvel Cinematic Universe using comically low-budget props, homemade sound effects, and sight gags.
10. The “Kiss Goodnightmare”.
Each Disney Wish Class ship (the Disney Wish, Disney Treasure, and Disney Destiny) has a “kiss goodnight” in the Grand Hall that is not to be missed. We won’t spoil the surprise guest for the “Kiss Goodnightmare” on the Disney Destiny.
